Sheriff Tom Dart Raids South Side Puppy Mill! 

24 March, 2009 - Approximately 67 dogs / puppies were found living in filth and inhumane conditions.  A woman is charged with 67 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty based on findings by the Cook County Sheriff's Police, the Chicago Police Department, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  For more information, check out:

$5,000 Reward for Tips on Dog Fighting

The Chicago Police Department and The Humane Society or the United States announced the launch of an animal fighting reward program which offers up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person involved in illegal dog fighting. More info and video at ABC7 News.
