Mia is an absolutely gorgeous 2-year-old, brindle, Boxer mix with the possibility of some Great Dane genes (we’re guessing). She is very, very sweet with the most beautiful, expressive, brown eyes! Mia came to us from a kill-facility in Florida. A friend who lives there fell in love with her and 3 others and saved all 4 of them. We took her because in the picture that she sent us, poor Mia was incredibly emaciated. She has put on a little bit of weight now, but definitely needs to fill out some more. We don’t know her story before she ended up on death row in Florida, but she obviously had a previous home.

When Mia went through her initial behavior evaluation, we tested her obedience cues and not only did she “sit” on command, but she went into a “sit pretty” with both her front paws in the air! What a love! Mia is very intelligent and will excel in training. While she is a sweet cuddler and loves to shower you with grateful kisses, she does not do well with cats or small dogs. She is reactionary; not aggressive towards big dogs, so no dog parks for her. We recommend that she be the only canine love of your life. One look into her mesmerizing eyes and you’ll discover that she’s all you’ll ever need.

P.S. Snuggling on the couch is mandatory!
