My name is Hudson! I am a special SPECIAL guy, full of personality! Somebody did something bad to me at some point in my life because I'm scared of my own shadow. And oh boy, thunderstorms are THE scariest thing in the world! I was blessed with a forgiving personality and just want to find a family of my own. I never act mean when I'm scared, I just get sort of quaky and nervous. So I need someone really patient who just wants a love sponge and a lap dog. I have floppy ears and short stubby legs like a bassett hound but I have a pitbully noggin. And did you see how soulful my eyes are? Full of hope that someday soon someone will love me for who I am. I can't be in a home with birds or kitties, but I do like girl doggies a lot. I just lost my play buddy, Patty, due to her lucky self getting adopted, so now I'm super lonely all over again. I'm only about two years old and am housebroken and crate trained. I was rescued from an animal control facility on the day they were going to put me to sleep. I feel so lucky to be alive. Oh, did I tell you I have a hidden talent? When I go to get on a bed or go down stairs, I leap! I leap like a horse jumping a fence when getting on a bed and when I leave the house, I skip the steps and LEAP down the stairs. Why do I do it? I just have moments of pure elation that I'm alive! But then the reality sinks in that I still haven't found my forever home. Could you be that home? If not, can you please tell my story to others and help me find my way?
