UPDATE
Dr. Pepper graduated first place in his agility class. His trainer was so impressed with him that she is offering his adoptive parent(s) LIFE-TIME AGILITY TRAINING for Dr. Pepper. Additionally, anyone who fosters him until he’s adopted can take him through training class.

Dr. Pepper is a one year old, brindled American Pit Bull Terrier. Dr. Pepper will certainly grow into his loveable big head with his healthy appetite and with the continued love and care he is now receiving. He was rescued from a neglectful situation on the south side of Chicago. Dr. Pepper is affectionate, charming and very friendly.

Dr. Pepper is a sweet sensitive boy who bonds very strongly with his person. He is smart, learns quickly, and is eager to please. He has some separation anxiety and would do best with a stay at home parent or a canine brother or sister. He is very vocal, and "talks" to you to tell you everything from "there's a dog or person over there" to "I want to play." Dr. Pepper is beginning agility class to make good use of all that puppy energy. Currently, Dr. Pepper is in a foster home that has another pittie named Gracie that he pals around with. If you'd like to meet and possibly adopt Dr. Pepper, please complete an adoption application.

If you want to enjoy the companionship of a dog or cat but not yet ready for the long-term commitment of adopting, perhaps fostering is more your speed. Please read our foster FAQ if you are interested in being a foster parent.
